We're looking for experienced Admin/DevOps Specialist to join our client's space company!
They design, build, and operate robotic optical observatories for monitoring objects in space. The company specializes in the complete systems, software for automated data acquisition, analysis and scheduling of networks of sensors. They work in the domains of Space Situational Awareness, Space Surveillance and Tracking, Space Traffic Management, Near Earth Objects, stellar and planetary research, education, and commercial on-demand observations.
Your responsibilities:
- Supporting and troubleshooting for users, services, clients, and infrastructure (PDU, UPS, Servers, Disk Matrices, workstations, and other devices), VMs, and VPNs.
- Installation, servicing, configuration, and optimization of IT systems.
- Writing technical documentation, including operational manuals, FAQs, checklists, and procedures.
- Ensuring safety and security of the IT infrastructure in compliance with internal and external policies and best practices, while mitigating vulnerabilities.
- Collaborating with Software Engineering for support in automation, bug fixing, log gathering, and performance improvement.
- Travelling to remote sites (foreign countries and Bydgoszcz) to install, fix, or upgrade IT infrastructure.
- Managing IT tickets in ClicUP.
- Managing the lifecycle of IT equipment (selection, purchase, maintenance, and optimization).
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Docker, MS 365, Azure, Windows Desktop & Server systems
- Ability in PowerShell Scripting or similar scripting languages
- Strong IT-related problem-solving abilities (both simple and complex)
- B2 level in written and spoken English and Polish
- Exceptional soft skills
- Eagerness for continuous learning and development
- B category driving license
Nice to have:
- Python scripting.
- Experience with Azure (Active Directory, code building pipelines).
- Experience with updates of global distributed, remote systems (limited bandwidth and network stability).
